SBMC Golf League
League Format
This year’s format is a 2 person One best-ball with a team handicap. Each player will play their own ball and whichever score is better that will be the team score for that hole. Handicaps will be configured for the team off your last 2 scores and will be on a two week rotation throughout the year.
You will play a head to head match against another team each week. Each hole is worth 2 points. If you tie the hole each team gets 1 point. This match will be handicapped so starting week 3 you will see dots on the scorecard where your team is either giving or getting a shot. After week 2 is completed we will go back and score weeks 1 and 2 with those handicaps. If you are playing a team that isn’t here you will be scored against a random team in the league.
Here is an example of a scorecard, The top team is a -2 handicap and the bottom team is a +2 handicap. The bottom team gets 4 shots on the four hardest holes. Where you see a yellow box is where they got shots and their team score reflects that with a stroke taken away.

Pairings have been based off the leaderboard each week. First two rounds were random until handicaps were established after that it was………
Week 3 – 1st place vs 2nd place, 2nd vs 3rd, 4th vs 5th………
Week 4 – like handicapped teams played each other
Week 5 – 1st vs 25th, 2nd vs 24th……….
Week 6 – 1st vs 2nd , 3rd vs 4th………….
Week 7 – Split the leaderboard in half 1st vs 12th 2nd vs 11th…….
